CRE also serves as headquarters for the Mojave Environmental Education Consortium (MEEC), a subdivision for the California Regional Environmental Education Community (CREEC).  MEEC links High Desert educators with the most effective environmental education resources at no charge!  MEEC sponsors local environmental workshops, science fairs and regional events.

Our annual Clean Air Fair takes place on the first Saturday of every May in observance of National Clean Air Month and is the District's largest public event.  The Fair is free and features a wide range of environmental activities in a festive atmosphere.

CRE staff also creates and distributes the Desert Air Monitor, the District newsletter, as well as brochures and other informational materials.
