This 2010 Annual Air Monitoring Network Review is being submitted by the Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District’s Air Monitoring Section to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Region 9. The network review evaluates the adequacy of the ambient air monitoring network with respect to the monitoring objectives and spatial scales. This annual assessment is required by 40 CFR Part 58, Subpart B. This Network Review is also preliminary to the annual data certification with the US EPA and helps Air Districts assess the quality of their data before submitting for data certification. This network review has the secondary purpose of informing the public of the criteria air pollutants that can affect their health, how the Mojave Desert AQMD monitors these criteria pollutants, and what the actual readings are so that our citizens can make informed decisions regarding their lifestyles.
