| UPDATE TO CFR Links |
|---|
It has been noted recently that some, if not all, of the links to the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) contained in various rules may not work. This appears to be primarily a problem with the federal website and its search engine. Direct links to specific subsections in the CFR (e.g. 40 CFR 70.3) appear to be unaffected. However, links to entire subparts (e.g. 40 CFR 60 Subpart C) do not retrieve the intended results. We are in the process of updating all of the affected links to provide search queries which may be used on the CFR website to retrieve the documents in question. To access an entire subpart of the CFR at this time please go to http://www.gpoaccess.gov/cfr/index.html and type the citation and subpart information enclosed in quotation marks into the Quick Search box as shown in the following example:
The search result will then list every section contained in Subpart C as well as other sections which contain a direct citation to 40 CFR 60 Subpart C. Unfortunately, the only other access to the CFR on the Internet at this time appears to be via the propriatary legal search engines (Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw) which require a fee to access. We apologize for the inconvenience. |
