The Mojave Desert AQMD is an independent special district committed to transparency as well as full compliance with the Brown Act and other applicable California policies. To this end, the MDAQMD strives to be accessible and responsive to the businesses and residents it serves while working to provide a user-friendly website experience.

Special districts are created and funded by a community’s residents to provide new or enhanced local services and infrastructure. Local residents own special districts and govern them through locally elected or appointed board members. MDAQMD is committed to providing high-quality services and resources in the most efficient and effective manner.
